Ashley Howden,
Osteopath

Ashley graduated from RMIT and treats a wide range of musculoskeletal aches and pains. She focuses on increasing mobility throughout the body with a variety of techniques, allowing her to reduce symptomatic pain and stop issues reoccurring for her clients.

Along with a variety of soft-tissue and articulatory techniques including spinal manipulation, Ashley implements Fascial Counterstrain (FCS) in her practice. FCS works by releasing restrictions within the fascia of the body. These restrictions can affect everything from muscles and joints, to organs and nerves. It is both a direct and indirect technique that is very gentle and highly specific to different layers of the body, going beyond simple muscle-focused therapy.

Ashley is also a keen sports fan and has had the pleasure of working with the Yarraville-Seddon Eagles as a sports trainer for multiple seasons. In addition to garnering experience in dealing with sporting injuries, she has also undertaken further study in treatment of the viscera and the pelvic floor.
